Yan Xing collaborates with the writer Hu Fan to publish his short stories Dawn (2015) and Twilight (2015). The audience can hear recordings of the artist reading the stories at the corresponding times of every day. Yan Xing often searches for possibilities in the middle ground between literature and visual art, and Hu Fan's novels use unique narrative techniques to write from specific realities but without specific targets. In this work, Yan Xing transforms the eternal text into a fleeting medium.The artist's voice is both the carrier of the novel and an implied question about the carrier.
